Dallas Green (ex-Alexisonfire) Discusses Possible Farewell Shows.

As if our collective pants weren't already filled with enough shit today...

Anyways, Dallas Green (a man who needs no introduction) recently discussed the possibility of reforming the beloved and recently-defunct Alexisonfire for a few farewell dates. Green told Spinner.ca:
"Wade [MacNeil] and I chat often. We've actually been starting to talk about doing some final Alexis shows because when we did play our last show, nobody knew it."
Green went on to discuss his reasons for leaving the band, as well as his current relationship with the other members. Fortunately, the band appears to back on good terms after a less than amicable breakup.

Shockwave Festival Tour Cancelled

It appears that the 2012 Shockwave Festival tour has been cancelled due to band drop-offs, low ticket sales and poor grammar. Here's an official statement from the festival's website (left as-is):
"It is with great disappointment that we have to make this announcement. With the recent departure of Vovoid from the Shockwave Festival lineup. As well as low advance ticket sales we have decided to pull the plug on the Shockwave Festival." For purchases with a credit card your card will automatically be refunded. All other refunds are available at point of purchase. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
If you're like me and were only going to see Cattle Decapitation, fear not. Although nothing official has come out yet, the band has released a statement promising some sort of make-up tour in the near future. You can check out that statement here. As for the other bands, they don't seem to have anything enlightening to say just yet (or ever, in the case of Fear Factory). So, uh, keep your eyes peeled... I guess...
