Defiler Signs To Razor & Tie/Debuts New Track

Defiler who hail from Northern California have recently become signed to Razor & Tie records and plan to release a new full-length album in later 2012. You may remember these guys for their first single "Cyromancer" which featured the infamous "I wanna see you cry bitch!" intro. The new untitled record will be self produced and feature mixing by the all mighty Zeuss (Acacia Strain, Hatebreed). They released the new track "Lucky 38" above a few days back. Singer Jake Pelzl released the following statement,
Words cannot describe how excited I am about signing with Razor & Tie. I've always had massive respect for the label, because of the diverse roster and bands I love, and they're just the greatest people ever," explains lead singer Jake Pelzl. He continues, "I feel like the new album is a true showcase to what all of us can do as a band. We're going further with the melody, the brutality; I'm playing around with lots of different lyrical ideas. I hope for it to really make an impression in the world of heavy music.

New Video Alert: Mastodon- "All the Heavy Lifting" (live)

Mastodon recently uploaded a live video of their song "All the Heavy Lifting" from 2011's The Hunter. The footage was taken from their February 11th performance at the Brixton Academy in London, England. I'm not a huge Mastodon fan myself, but the video sounds/looks really good, so if you're into them I advise you check it out.

Converge Post Trailer for 'Thousands of Miles Between Us'

Converge have recently posted a trailer for their long awaited live DVD Thousands of Miles Between Us. The DVD will document the band's travels across the world, featuring both live performances, tour footage, and interviews with the band/other relevant people. Judging by the clip above, the DVD will finally explain how the band captured and tamed Nate Newton, after realizing his natural disposition for ferocious bass playing when he jumped on stage one night and began swinging the instrument around his head wildly.
