New Video Alert: TRC - "#TEAMUK"

New video for "#TEAMUK" from British act TRC.
I'll be frank with you guys and say that I'd never heard of this band until I came across this video 20 minutes ago. But I like what I hear, I really like it. It's a perfect blend of hardcore and punk with extremely song British vocals. Needless to say I'm in the process of checking out these guys discography right now. I suggest you do the same. 9/10.

Gallows To Enter the Studio Next Week.

UK Hardcore act Gallows will hit the studio next week to begin recording a follow-up to 2009's Grey Britain. Details are a little hard to come by (we still have no idea who's releasing the album, let alone recording it), but the band issued this statement through Facebook on Sunday:
Work on Gallows album number 3 starts officially in a week. Very excited to bring you new music and get touring everywhere again.
The (presumably) as-of-yet untitled album will be the band's first full length with Canadian and friend of the program, Wade MacNeil, doing vocals. As you may remember, Gallows stole MacNeil from Alexisonfire after previous vocalist Frank Carter went insane, prompting the demise of Canada's greatest ever punk/hardcore band. Yeah, I'm a little bitter, so what?

Okay... sorry, I'm done. Anyways, the band released an EP, Death is Birth with MacNeil late last year to mixed reviews. Let's hope the band hasn't lost all momentum from Grey Britain and are able to write another kick-ass album with our boy Wade at the helm.

Oh, and in case you missed it, the aforementioned Carter went on a bit of a tirade against Gallows and their fans in a recent attempt to stay relevant NME interview, in which he called the band "a benign dictatorship and a fucking mess." He went on to show disdain for angry Gallows fans, and used some interesting British-people speak to describe the negative mental effects the band had on him. A compelling read, if nothing else.

The Acacia Strain Sign With Rise Records/New Album Details

The Acacia Strain have officially signed to Rise Records to release their new album in October 2012. The Acacia Strain who formed in 2001, released their prior albums on Prosthetic Records. The album will feature DL Laskiewicz who has become a studio only member and hasn't toured in over a year. It will once again feature 8 string guitars and it's speculated that Laskiewicz may be handling the producer aspect as well. The Acacia Strain announced last week that they had begun recording but it was uncertain if they were pre-production demos or the real thing. You can expect to hear one of these next week. Check out the official press release below:
Rise Records is proud and honored to announce the signing of THE ACACIA STRAIN. Notorious for being one of the heaviest bands around, THE ACACIA STRAIN will surely quiet any doubters when they unleash their debut album for Rise this October. These 11+ year veterans from western Massachusetts are ready to dive into the next phase and are happy to have found a home with Rise where they feel they will be well taken care of and continue to smash faces with their new material.
Over the past decade, The Acacia Strain has crisscrossed the world many times establishing an international presence and diehard fan base. The band speaks often about being equal to their fans and not putting up with anyone trying to fuck with you. Being humble and having no ego are just a couple of traits that The Acacia Strain have that make their fans feel like they are a part of everything the band does. Their blue collar upbringing in western Massachusetts has a direct effect on their lyrics and song writing. With their high level of street cred and passion for making music, The Acacia Strain are the real deal.

Architects (UK) Part Ways With Guitarist

Architects (UK) have parted ways with original member and rhythm guitarist Tom Hillier-Brook, no not the twin, the other one. Although leaving the band, Brook is featured on their forthcoming album Daybreaker due out this spring. Filling in temporarily will be Josh Middleton from Sylosis. You can read the statement from the band below:
Tim has decided that its time for him to step away from Architects and pursue other projects. We all appreciate the work and commitment he has shown to the band over the past few years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. His final show will be Groezrock and no future shows will be affected by his departure. Our good friend Josh Middleton will be filling Tim’s vacancy on a temporary basis.

New Dream On Dreamer Single

Australian metalcore act Dream On Dreamer have released a brand new single titled "Midnight Thoughts" which is now available for streaming on YouTube or available for downloading through iTunes. This appears to be just a single and isn't apart of a new album. I like this tune a lot more than their previous works and find them less annoying than your average Rise Records band. 7/10.

Deftones Begin Recording New Album

Deftones have officially begun tracking their seventh studio album as of today. The picture above was uploaded by the band via their facebook page. Guitarist Stephen Carpenter has stated that once again he will use 8 string guitars on the new currently untitled album. Front-man Chino Moreno states that the album sounds "futuristic" in comparison to their previous effort Diamond Eyes and is the best material that they have written to date. Bassist Chi is still in hospital recovering from a three year long coma and will not be apart of this release that is expected to drop in the fall. Check our Facebook page to stay update with developments from the Deftones as well as tons of other bands.
